Who We Are

Good Stone AME Zion Church is one of many Local Churches in our community.

The local church is defined as a local assembly of believers or a congregation that meets together physically for worship, fellowship, teaching, prayer and encouragement in the faith (Hebrews 10:25). At the local church level, we are able to live in relationship with other believers—we break bread together (Communion), pray for each other, disciple, and strengthen one another. At the same time, all believers are members of the universal church. The universal church is made up of every single person who has exercised faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, including members of every local church body throughout the earth (1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:22-23)

What Keeps Us Going

For years this church has stood as a sentinel pointing men and woman, boys and girls to the Heavenly way.

In the midst of world turmoil, in the face of strife and war and at times when world’s ideals are crumbling, this church has ever held high the banner of Christ who said “Upon this rock I build my church and the gates of Hell shell not prevail against it.”

This church has had as pastors,  God like, devout, Christian preachers who have preached the gospel so that everyone could hear of Jesus, know of his goodness and see his works in the lives of men.

Persecution has not crushed the church.  Power has not beaten the church.  Time has not abated the church`s force.  The abuses and treason of enemies have not shaken the church`s stability, for the church is found on a rock.

May this church stand in years to come as it has stood these 115 years, a living momument of a savior who died that all men might live.
